Solution: eSIM Data is Not Working After Adding More Data

After topping up your OVOSIM eSIM, data activation is usually instantaneous. In some cases it can take up to 10–15 minutes for the network to process and activate the new data pack.

Step 1 — Toggle Airplane Mode

The quickest fix is to force your device to reconnect to the network:

  1. Enable Airplane Mode in your Settings or Control Centre
  2. Wait 30 seconds
  3. Turn Airplane Mode off
  4. Wait up to 15 minutes for the eSIM to re-authenticate on the network and start receiving data

Toggling Airplane Mode forces your phone to re-register on the network, which triggers the new data pack to activate. This resolves the issue in most cases.
