How to Permanently Delete an eSIM From Your Device

OVOSIM Support Team · Updated May 2026

Warning — this cannot be undone

After removing an eSIM from your device it will be permanently deactivated on the network and cannot be reactivated. If you have remaining data and want to keep it, do not delete the eSIM. If you need more data in the future, you will need to purchase and activate a new plan.

If your eSIM has expired and you want to remove it from your device, follow the steps for your device below.

iPhone

  1. Open Settings → Cellular
  2. Tap the OVOSIM eSIM plan you want to remove
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete eSIM
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Android

Samsung Galaxy

  1. Open Settings → Connections
  2. Tap SIM Card Manager
  3. Select the OVOSIM eSIM you want to remove
  4. Tap Remove and confirm

Google Pixel

  1. Open Settings → Network & Internet
  2. Tap SIMs
  3. Select the OVOSIM eSIM you want to remove
  4. Tap Delete and confirm

Want to add more data instead?

If your plan has run out of data but you don't want to lose the eSIM profile, you can top up instead of deleting. See our guide: How to add more data to an eSIM.
